While you’re at Merriwa Springtime Show make sure to visit the impressive Fairfax and Rodgers Pavilion displays.
We have wonderful local talent here in Merriwa, including winners at Sydney Royal Easter Show. As well as colourful displays of knitting, crochet, sewing and embroidery, there will be all types of beautiful floral arrangements, including fresh, artificial and dried; plus fruit, greenery and native plant displays.
The cookery section is a crowd favourite, with a mouth-watering selection of handmade scones, biscuits, slices, cakes, sponges and puddings. There’s a “Rich Fruit Cake” competition – and – check out the “men with hidden talents” classes!
Preserves are also popular with rows of jams, pickles, sauces, oils and chutneys gleaming in their glass jars.
And with a huge assortment of arts and crafts, from painting, drawing, sculpture and digital art to leatherwork and pottery, there are plenty of eye-catching items to keep you entertained.
Photography is another popular section with some amazing scenes and shots taken from unusual angles, mingled with portraits and mood montages.
The list is endless – so take time out at this year’s Merriwa Springtime Show to enjoy all the Pavilions have to offer
